A home ventilator is a machine that helps a person breathe when they cannot breathe well enough on their own. It is prescribed by a doctor, often after a hospital stay or for a long-term condition.
Because this equipment is complex, the plan is made with your doctor and care team. Respirago sets up the equipment as ordered and trains the people who will use it every day.
How Respirago helps
Delivery and set-up of the ventilator and supplies as ordered
Hands-on training for caregivers and family members, with time to practice
Equipment checks and an alarm plan, so everyone knows what to do
Backup planning for power outages and equipment problems
On-call support when equipment questions come up
Follow-up visits and updates to your doctor and care team

Common questions
Who can have a home ventilator?
Only people whose doctor has prescribed one. The decision and the settings come from your physician or care team.
How are family members trained?
A respiratory therapist teaches you in your home, shows you each step and has you practice. We repeat the training whenever you want a refresher.
What if the power goes out or the machine has a problem?
We help you build a plan before you need it. It includes a backup power or backup device and who to call. Tell your power company that someone in your home uses medical equipment.
