CPAP and BiPAP machines gently push air through a mask to help keep your airway open or to support your breathing. Doctors prescribe them for conditions such as sleep apnea and some lung or breathing-muscle conditions.
Your doctor decides what you need and what settings to use. Respirago delivers and sets up the equipment as prescribed, then helps you stay comfortable with it.

Common questions
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. A doctor prescribes CPAP or BiPAP therapy. Your doctor's office sends the order, and we set up the equipment as prescribed.
My mask leaks or is uncomfortable. What should I do?
Please call us. Leaks are one of the most common problems, and a therapist can check the size, the cushion and the straps. Wearing the straps too tight can actually cause leaks.
Can I change my pressure settings?
Please don't. Only your doctor changes your prescribed settings. If the pressure feels too high or low, tell us and we will pass it on to your doctor.
I wake up with a dry mouth or nose. Can you help?
We can check the mask fit, the humidifier and the room, and talk with your doctor about next steps.
Emergency? If you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, blue or gray lips, or confusion, call 911. If you are vomiting while wearing a mask, take the mask off.
This page is general information, not medical advice. Your doctor decides what treatment is right for you. Always follow your doctor's orders and the manufacturer's instructions for your equipment.
